The Silos access point provides a concrete boat ramp on Canyon Ferry Reservoir, a large 33,500-acre impoundment of the Missouri River with 96 miles of shoreline. This is a developed, public access facility with multiple ramps available for a daily or seasonal fee. The site includes a large campground with five camping areas, four of which have associated boat ramps, making it suitable for both day-use and extended trips. An FWP watercraft inspection station is maintained here.
Canyon Ferry Reservoir is well-suited for recreational boating and offers excellent fishing for walleye, rainbow trout, perch, and ling. Be prepared for windy conditions—the Silos area is characterized as open and exposed with minimal tree cover, though trees along the shoreline provide some respite. Nearby White Earth Campground (reservable) is also available within 10 miles if you need additional lodging options. The area features amenities including restrooms, day-use areas, and gazebos to support a full day of water recreation.
