Silver Lake Boat Ramp and Access Site

The Silver Lake boat ramp provides access to the scenic Silver Lake in Amador County, California. This facility is managed by the El Dorado Irrigation District and is open to the public for launching motorized and non-motorized watercraft.

The boat ramp features a dirt launch area suitable for car-top boats and small trailered craft. A boarding dock is available to assist with launching and loading. Parking is available, but overnight parking and camping are not permitted. The access site is open seasonally, typically from April through November, depending on road and weather conditions. Visitors should be aware that the area experiences a winter road closure from approximately December through March.

Silver Lake is a moderate-sized mountain lake located in the Eldorado National Forest. It offers opportunities for boating, kayaking, and canoeing in a scenic alpine setting.
