Silver Lake

Silver Lake State Park offers a developed public boat launch in St. Louis County, providing convenient access to this 71-acre lake. The concrete ramp is located to the right of the boat dock and accommodates both motorized and non-motorized watercraft, making it suitable for kayakers, canoeists, and recreational boaters. With a maximum depth of 47 feet, Silver Lake is a solid destination for paddling and fishing.

The access site includes ample amenities for a full day outing: a parking lot, flush public restrooms, and keyed gate access. Paddlers should note that Silver Lake is a private lake managed by the Silver Lake Homes Association; boat stickers (available freely at the clubhouse) are required for launch. The site also offers nearby camping with improved facilities including electric hookups, running water, and showers, making it ideal for overnight paddling trips.
