About This Access Site
Simmons Island Boat Harbor, located in Simmons Island Park off Kennedy Memorial Drive and Sixth Street in Kenosha, provides the only public boat launch ramps in the Kenosha Harbor area on Lake Michigan. This Inner Harbor facility, also known as the Small Boat Harbor or Simmons Island Marina, is well-suited for kayakers, canoeists, and small boat launches looking to access the lake from a developed public facility with parking available.

**Important seasonal note:** Floating piers are removed from November 1st through April 1st, so plan your visits accordingly if you rely on pier infrastructure. This makes the site most accessible for paddling and boating during the warmer months. As the primary public launch option in Kenosha Harbor, it's a convenient access point for those exploring Lake Michigan's waters in the area.
