Sims Landing is a public boat ramp located on the north side of the Suwannee River near Mayo in Suwannee County. The ramp is easily accessible and well-suited for launching kayaks, canoes, and motorboats. To reach the landing, take CR 250 west for 0.7 mile from the Suwannee River Bridge crossing, turn left on CR 251 and continue for 1.5 miles, then turn left on NW Sims Landing Road and proceed 1.5 miles to the ramp.
This section of the Suwannee River offers a scenic paddling experience with varying distances between landings. From Sims Landing, paddlers have approximately 1.80 miles of downriver access to other ramps and camps. The river in this area is wide and generally manageable for paddlers of different skill levels, making it a good choice for day trips or longer excursions. Parking is available at the landing, making it convenient for planning shuttle trips or accessing the upper Suwannee River paddling routes.
