The Site #1 boat ramp at the Visitor Center provides convenient access to Green River Lake, one of the largest recreation areas in Kentucky's Louisville District. Located 4.5 miles south of Campbellsville on KY 55, the ramp is situated near the Corps of Engineers office and is well-signed from the main entrance. This is an ideal launch point for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboaters looking to explore the expansive 8,210-acre lake with its 147 miles of scenic shoreline.

Green River Lake is a substantial body of water spanning 28 miles in length with an average depth of 50 feet, offering diverse paddling opportunities. The lake features 12 boat ramps throughout the area, so paddlers have multiple access options. The Visitor Center location also provides nearby amenities and historical attractions, including the Atkinson-Griffin Log Cabin, making it a good base for exploring the area.
