Lower Slide Lake's boat ramp provides access to a scenic 260-hectare lake near Kelly in Teton County. This primitive ramp is ideal for kayakers and canoeists seeking a peaceful paddling experience, particularly during fall and shoulder seasons when crowds are minimal. The lake's unique landscape was formed by a 1925 landslide, creating striking natural scenery surrounded by the Teton range.
The ramp is located at the Atherton Creek Boating Site on the lake's northern shoreline and accommodates non-motorized paddling as well as motorized boats. Be aware that the access road may experience periodic construction closures, so plan accordingly. The nearby Gros Ventre Campground (reservable) is within 10 miles, and free primitive campsites are available closer to the water for a more secluded experience. The lake is popular with trout fishermen and offers excellent conditions for boating and paddling throughout the year.
