About This Access Site
**Location & Access:**
Smith Lake County Park is located 3 miles west of Park Falls in Price County, Wisconsin, providing access to Smith Lake, a 300-acre man-made reservoir on the North Fork of the Flambeau River. The park features a boat landing and dock suitable for kayaks, canoes, and other watercraft.

**Amenities & Facilities:**
The park offers excellent amenities for day users and overnight visitors, including a 30-unit campground (electricity available), flush toilets, shower facilities, and a dump station (seasonal operation, typically mid-April through late September/early October). A swimming area, fishing access, and an open-air picnic shelter with electricity are also available. The site provides vault toilets during off-season months and connects to multi-use trails in the area, including ATV trails and access to the nearby Tuscobia State Trail system.

**Recreation Opportunities:**
Beyond paddling, the park supports fishing, swimming, and hiking. Paddlers can also access two free canoe-in campsites via river access, making this a good basecamp for exploring the North Fork Flambeau River system. Note that campground sites are first-come, first-served with fees required, while vault toilets and basic facilities remain available year-round.
