About This Access Site
Snag Cove Campground offers a well-maintained boat launch facility on the western shore of Lake Roosevelt (Franklin D. Roosevelt Lake) near Kettle Falls, about 85 miles north of Spokane. The ramp is accompanied by trailer parking and a courtesy dock, making it a convenient access point for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats looking to explore this expansive reservoir. Eight of the nine campground sites sit directly on the lakeshore, providing camping options for those who want to combine water access with overnight accommodation.

**Practical Information:** The campground operates on a reservation-only basis (no first-come sites) with nightly rates of $23 through Recreation.gov (call 509-754-7889). Boat launch fees are $10 per week or $60 annually (annual passes available from vendors only). Popular with families, anglers, and hunters, Snag Cove fills quickly during summer months, so advance reservations are recommended. The facility accommodates both tents and RVs, and a dump station is available for $10 per reservation. Lake Roosevelt offers calm, scenic paddling conditions suitable for kayaks and canoes, with excellent shoreline access for fishing and exploration.
