About This Access Site
Snake River Landing provides public boat access to Cross Lake near Pine City in Pine County. The facility features two cement plank ramps and two docks, with parking for approximately 25 vehicles plus overflow parking available. The ramp is located on the east side of the lake near the outlet spillway, making it a convenient launch point for accessing the 1,815-acre reservoir.

This section of the Snake River is characterized by flat water due to the Cross Lake dam, making it ideal for recreational paddling and boating. Paddlers should note that the current near the boat ramp can be swift, and underwater hazards may be present in the immediate launch area. The site provides a good starting point for downstream paddle trips; the 8.6-mile stretch downstream to Canary Road Landing offers slow, scenic paddling along essentially flat water.
