Snipe Lake is a 216-acre lake in Eagle River, Vilas County, offering a public boat landing with a paved, barrier-free ramp for easy access. The lake has a maximum depth of 15 feet with moderately clear water, making it suitable for kayaking, canoeing, and recreational boating. To reach the ramp, take STH 70 west from Eagle River to Wilderness Trail (approximately 5½ miles), then head north on Wilderness Trail about 1½ miles to 1770 Wilderness Trail.
The lake supports a healthy fishery including musky, walleye, largemouth bass, and panfish, making it popular with anglers as well as paddlers. The access area includes amenities such as cooking grills and picnic tables, providing a pleasant spot for launching and spending time on the water.
