Somerfield North offers a well-maintained boat launch on Youghiogheny River Lake in Addison, PA, making it a convenient access point for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboaters. The facility features a recently expanded launch ramp (250 feet long with 4,500 square feet of pavement), a courtesy dock, and ample amenities including picnic tables, grills, and restroom facilities. A reservable lakeside pavilion is available for group outings. The location is easily accessible from Route 40, directly across from Yough Lake Marina.

The ramp provides access to Youghiogheny River Lake, a scenic reservoir spanning the Pennsylvania-Maryland border in the Laurel Highlands. The calm lake waters are ideal for paddling, swimming, and recreational boating. Nearby Yough Lake Marina offers equipment rentals if you need kayaks, paddle boards, or pontoon boats. For extended trips, Outflow Camping is available within 10 miles for overnight accommodations.
