South Lake Landing is a public boat ramp located on South Lake in the Eastern Sierra region of California. This access point is well-suited for kayaks, canoes, and small motorized boats.
The boat ramp passes under Lakeview Avenue and has a 12-foot clearance, accommodating vessels up to 11 feet in height. Non-motorized boats can be launched here, but they must be Cleaned, Drained, and Dry to prevent the spread of invasive species. The surrounding Lakeside Marina offers additional facilities including boat storage, slips and moorings, boat rentals, and a fuel dock, all within a short walk of the nearby casinos.
South Lake is a scenic mountain lake nestled in the Inyo National Forest, part of the Sierra Nevada range. Paddlers and boaters can enjoy exploring the calm waters and surrounding forested hills and meadows.
