About This Access Site
The Tabor Street Boat Ramp in Lyons provides access to the Grand River via a lengthy launch area located at the end of South Tabor Street. This site is part of the Middle Grand River Heritage Water Trail and is particularly popular as a take-out point for paddlers and boaters. The extended access (over 50 yards long) offers good flexibility for launching and landing various watercraft, from kayaks and canoes to larger boats.

This location is notably preferred by many river users as an alternative to Lyons Dam downstream, which presents navigation hazards and safety concerns. The Tabor Street ramp makes an excellent take-out for trips originating further upstream on the Grand River, allowing paddlers to avoid the dam entirely. Whether you're planning a day paddle or a longer river journey, this access point provides a straightforward entry and exit to the Grand River.
