Toledo Bend Reservoir offers expansive paddling and boating opportunities across its 519-mile water system. As a major river system (Stream Order 8), the Sabine River maintains significant water volume with an average flow of over 9,100 cubic feet per second, making it suitable for various water sports. The reservoir's relatively gentle average gradient of 0.8 feet per mile creates calmer conditions than the main river channel. This access point is one of approximately 33 public launch facilities on the Texas side of the reservoir, making Toledo Bend an excellent destination for kayakers, canoeists, and boaters seeking extended paddling opportunities.
