About This Access Site
South Twin Lake is a 106-acre lake in the Whittlesey area with clear water and a maximum depth of 29 feet, offering good fishing opportunities for panfish, largemouth bass, northern pike, and walleye. The primary boat ramp is located on Twin Lake Road on the north side of the lake, providing convenient motorized access. Paddlers seeking a quieter entry can also use carry-in access off Dam Lane on the south side of the lake.

The boat landing operates seasonally from March 1 through October 31. This site is near the North Twin Lake Recreation Area, though note that the campground itself has been closed; however, alternative Forest Service campgrounds are available in the nearby Medford area, including Eastwood, Picnic Point, Spearhead Point, and Westpoint. To reach South Twin Lake from Medford, take Highway 13 north for 4 miles, then follow County roads M and E as indicated by local signage.
