South Wood County Park

South Wood County Park, located 5.25 miles east of Wisconsin Rapids on CTH W, offers a convenient boat launch for accessing 148-acre Lake Wazeecha. The park features two designated beach areas (White Sands and Red Sands), picnic facilities, and shower amenities for visitors. This is a solid jumping-off point for kayakers and canoeists looking to explore a relatively calm, inland lake setting.

The park provides good amenities for a full day of paddling, with multiple sandy beaches suitable for landing and picnicking along the shoreline. A self-registration station at the boat landing handles day-use fees ($7.00 daily or $25.00 annual pass, valid at all three Wood County boat landings).
