The Southern Harbor Resort Marina boat ramp provides convenient access to West Point Lake along the Chattahoochee River. This 35-mile-long lake offers excellent opportunities for fishing, boating, and other water recreation. The boat ramp is part of the Southern Harbor recreation area, managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
For kayakers and canoeists, the calm, relatively slow-moving waters of West Point Lake are well-suited for peaceful paddling excursions. Anglers can find a variety of fish species in the lake's numerous creeks and coves. Powerboaters and recreational users will appreciate the lake's expansive 525 miles of shoreline, providing ample space to explore, ski, or simply enjoy a relaxing day on the water. Facilities at the Southern Harbor Marina include the public boat ramp, but users should confirm hours and any applicable fees prior to visiting.
