The Spirit/Clyde Avenue landing (RM 12.1) provides convenient access to the St. Louis River in Duluth and serves as a take-out point for paddlers and boaters exploring this section of the river. The site is particularly useful for those paddling from upstream access points like Boy Scout Landing (RM 16.8), located about 4.7 miles north. This is a popular intermediate stop on the St. Louis River corridor.

**Note on Current Conditions:** If you're planning a visit, be aware that nearby Munger Landing is undergoing major restoration work and is closed through Spring 2024. Alternative access points in the area include Boy Scout Landing on the Minnesota side and Oliver Boat Landing on the Wisconsin side near the Oliver Bridge. The Spirit/Clyde Avenue ramp is expected to receive improvements as part of broader St. Louis River habitat restoration efforts, including a new boat ramp and paddle sport launch area.
