Sportsmans Access

Sportsmans Access provides boat ramp access to Spirit Lake in northern Idaho's Kootenai County. Located near the town of Spirit Lake, this access point is reached by taking Highway 41 north from Rathdrum, Idaho, following signs for public access. The facility features a dirt access road with ample space for vehicle maneuvering and boat trailer turning—look for the Sportsmans Access sign and take the first right turn past the bike path, just beyond the small paved parking area.

This access point is suitable for kayakers, canoeists, and motorized boaters looking to launch on Spirit Lake. The site includes fishing docks in addition to the boat ramp, making it a popular spot for anglers and recreational paddlers. Idaho boat passes are accepted here, consistent with the state's network of 300+ public fishing and boating access sites. Arrive early during peak seasons to secure parking and launching space.
