About This Access Site
The Spout Springs boat ramp provides access to the Cumberland River at Lake Barkley in Dover, Tennessee. This location is situated along the river at mile marker 193. The ramp is suitable for launching kayaks, canoes, and small motorized boats to explore the scenic Cumberland River and adjacent Lake Barkley.

Lake Barkley is a large reservoir created by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers' impoundment of the Cumberland River. The lake spans over 100 miles in length and offers abundant opportunities for fishing, boating, and wildlife viewing. Paddlers can navigate the calm, slow-moving waters of the Cumberland River, keeping an eye out for bald eagles, great blue herons, and other native wildlife. Boaters should be aware of the lake's size and potential for wind and wave action, and plan accordingly.

The Spout Springs access site is located in close proximity to the Cross Creeks National Wildlife Refuge and Fort Donelson National Battlefield, providing opportunities for further exploration and recreation in the region. Paddlers and boaters should consult local resources for the latest information on conditions, regulations, and amenities at this launch point.
