**Location & Facilities**
Sprague Lake Wildlife Area offers a public boat launch on the southwest end of Sprague Lake near the town of Sprague in Adams County. The site features a concrete single-lane ramp (20 feet wide) with 5 parking lots, 3 ADA parking spaces, and 1 restroom facility. The access area is open year-round and provides a developed launch point for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats looking to access this 9,000-acre water body.
**Recreation Opportunities**
Beyond paddling, the site includes interpretive trails and a wildlife viewing platform, making it ideal for paddlers interested in exploring the scenic wetlands and uplands surrounding the lake. Note that camping is not permitted at this location. Additional private boat launches are available at resorts on the southeast and northeast ends of the lake (day use fees apply).
**Planning Your Visit**
As a Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife site, the launch is managed for public access and wildlife conservation. Hand launches are not available, so a boat ramp is necessary. Plan accordingly and practice responsible recreation ethics on this public land resource.
