About This Access Site
Spring Creek Boat Ramp provides access to Wheeler Lake, part of the Tennessee River system in northern Alabama. This launch site is well-suited for kayakers, canoeists, and small to medium-sized motorized boats.

The ramp is located in a small cove on the south shore of the lake, off Spring Creek Road. The paved launch area can accommodate multiple vehicles and boat trailers. While there are no dedicated docks, the gentle shoreline makes for easy hand-launching of small craft. Ample parking is available near the ramp.

Wheeler Lake is a wide, slow-moving reservoir formed by the Wheeler Dam on the Tennessee River. The lake offers over 70 miles of shoreline and abundant opportunities for fishing, boating, and other water recreation. Paddlers will find calm, protected waters well-suited for exploring the coves and inlets around Spring Creek. Boaters should be aware of typical reservoir conditions, including boat traffic and potential wind.
