Springstead Landing is the primary access point on the south side of Turtle Flambeau Flowage and offers the most amenities of any launch site on this 14,000-acre reservoir. The facility features a **triple-wide concrete launch ramp** with boarding docks and adequate gravel parking—ideal for both kayakers/canoeists launching smaller craft and boaters with larger vessels. The ramp's generous width makes it well-suited for high-traffic periods.
Located off Flowage Landing Road on the south side of the flowage, Springstead Landing provides access to a vast paddling and boating area known for its natural beauty. The flowage encompasses 195 islands, numerous wetlands, and scenic forested shorelines. Access to the site is convenient via U.S. Highway 51 or State Highway 13 from the south. Whether you're planning a day paddle among the islands or a longer exploration of this expansive water body, Springstead's well-developed infrastructure makes it an excellent starting point. Additional access points exist around the flowage, including Robinson's Landing (mid-lake, west side) and Lake of the Falls County Park (north end) if you prefer launching from different areas.
