About This Access Site
Squantz Pond is a scenic, 200-acre reservoir located in western Connecticut's Fairfield County. This boat access site provides a convenient put-in for kayakers, canoeists, and small motorized boats.

The boat launch is situated at the west end of Squantz Pond State Park, off Route 39. The access road is gravel, leading to a dirt parking area with around 40 spaces. The ramp itself is a simple dirt slope, suitable for car-top or trailer launching. There are no docks, but the launch is wide enough to accommodate easy loading and unloading.

While larger powerboats are allowed on the pond, the site is primarily used by paddlers and small fishing boats. The pond has a 25 horsepower motor limit, creating a relatively calm, peaceful environment for exploring the scenic shoreline and observing the local wildlife. Visitors should note that this is a carry-in/car-top access point, without a true boat ramp for trailered launches.
