About This Access Site
Located 8 miles south of Calais on US Route 1, this boat ramp provides access to the St. Croix River in eastern Maine. The site is situated near the Saint Croix Island International Historic Site, which offers an interpretive trail with views of the historic island. For more information about the access site and area, contact the Saint Croix Island Ranger Station at (207) 454-0418.

**Note for Visitors:** This is primarily a ranger station and historic site rather than a developed public boat ramp facility. The site is not ADA accessible, and services are limited from late October through Memorial Day, when interpretive displays are covered for winter protection. Paddlers and boaters should call ahead to confirm access conditions and identify nearby alternative launch points if needed. The St. Croix River offers scenic paddling opportunities in this remote downeast Maine region, making it worthwhile to plan your visit in advance.
