St. Lawrence River

The Cape Vincent boat ramp provides hard surface access to the St. Lawrence River, a major international waterway connecting Lake Ontario to the St. Lawrence Seaway. This site accommodates approximately 10 vehicles with trailers and features accessible facilities at the top of the ramp. The launch has been recently improved with resiliency upgrades to the ramp and access road, making it more reliable during high-water conditions—an important consideration given the river's variable water levels.

Paddlers and boaters should note that Wright's Marina is conveniently located adjacent to the launch, offering supplies, food, refreshments, and repair services. The marina also provides pump-out facilities and seasonal storage options if needed. The St. Lawrence River is a substantial waterway with significant shipping traffic and tidal influences, so paddlers should be prepared for river conditions and awareness of commercial vessel traffic.
