About This Access Site
St. Olaf Lake is a 91-acre lake located in scenic Waseca County near New Richland, Minnesota. This public access site features a boat ramp at St. Olaf Lake Park on the north shore, making it convenient for launching kayaks, canoes, and small motorboats. The lake has a maximum depth of 33 feet and is suitable for recreational paddling and fishing. The ramp is located 3.5 miles northeast of New Richland.

St. Olaf Lake Park offers full amenities including restroom facilities, a staffed public beach, picnic areas with grills, and a DNR fishing pier nearby. The park setting provides a family-friendly atmosphere with a playground and volleyball court in addition to water access. There is no launch fee to use the boat ramp. Most standard recreational boats (12-18 feet) can be launched here, making it accessible for various watercraft.

The lake has a small watershed-to-lake ratio with primarily agricultural land use in the surrounding area. Much of the shoreline is developed with residential properties, but the public park access ensures reliable water access for paddlers and boaters seeking a convenient local recreation spot.
