Stan Sayers Memorial Park offers a public boat ramp on Lake Washington in Seattle's Mount Baker neighborhood. The facility features a concrete ramp with improved access via newly added grated gangways and floats, making it convenient for kayakers, canoeists, and small motorboats. Limited launching is available—boats and vehicles must fit within the central portion of the ramp between block barriers. Gates are locked between 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m., though overnight parking passes are available for vehicles with boat trailers (4-night maximum).
The park provides convenient access to Lake Washington, a large, relatively calm freshwater lake ideal for recreational paddling. The nearby Lake Washington Ship Canal and Hiram M. Chittenden Locks offer additional exploration opportunities for boaters interested in extending their trip. The Mount Baker location also puts paddlers near urban amenities and the Wing Luke Museum for post-paddle activities. A private parking lot is available on-site, and the park is family-friendly with picnic facilities.
