About This Access Site
The Starkey boat ramp provides access to Beaver Lake, a large reservoir on the White River in northwest Arkansas. This is a popular spot for kayakers, canoeists, and motorized boaters to launch onto the lake. The ramp is part of a larger recreation area with amenities like a playground and nearby campgrounds.

Beaver Lake was created in 1966 with the construction of a dam on the White River. The lake covers over 31,000 acres and has 449 miles of shoreline, offering plenty of space for recreational activities like fishing, swimming, and boating. The water level and flows are controlled by the dam, making the lake generally calm and suitable for a variety of watercraft.

The Starkey boat ramp features a paved launch area, courtesy dock, and nearby parking. It's an ideal access point for exploring Beaver Lake and the surrounding Ozark Mountains scenery. Nearby campgrounds provide options for overnight stays, while other recreation areas like Pea Ridge National Military Park offer additional outdoor adventures in the region.
