Stella Lake

Stella Lake offers a well-maintained public boat ramp on the south shore in Darwin, Meeker County. The state-owned access features a double cement boat ramp with paved parking, making it convenient for launching kayaks, canoes, and larger recreational boats. This is a moderate-sized facility suitable for most watercraft.

Stella Lake spans over four miles of shoreline with a maximum depth of approximately 12-18 feet, providing decent paddling and boating opportunities. An additional access point for smaller boats exists at the east end of the lake via a cement box culvert connecting to Washington Lake, offering alternative entry options for kayakers and canoeists. The lake is also adjacent to the Litchfield Wetland Management District, an area of ecological significance for waterfowl and migratory birds, making it an attractive destination for wildlife viewing during paddling trips.
