This landing provides access to Wambaw Creek, a scenic black water tidal creek that winds through the Wambaw Creek Wilderness Area within the Francis Marion National Forest. The creek's tidal nature and winding course make it ideal for kayakers and canoeists seeking a quieter paddle through pristine wilderness. Stills Landing and Elmwood Landing are the two primary public access points on the creek.
