The Stockbridge Bowl boat ramp in Stockbridge, MA provides public access to the town's largest lake via a well-maintained concrete ramp located at 106 Interlaken Rd. The adjacent parking area is a large gravel lot with a gentle slope (under 5% grade), making vehicle and trailer maneuvering relatively easy. Three portable restrooms are available on-site, including one accessible facility. The ramp is popular with kayakers and canoeists and hosts the canoe/kayak division of the Josh Billings race.
Before launching, be aware that all vessels must be thoroughly washed to remove zebra mussels and other invasive species. Note that swimming is not permitted at the ramp area itself. For additional water access and amenities, Stockbridge Town Beach (on the southeast shoreline) offers a sandy beach, lifeguards, changing facilities, and picnic areas. The lake is surrounded by public recreation areas including Gould Meadows and Bullard Woods, providing good opportunities for a full day of paddling and exploration.
