Straight Creek Marina in Ripley, OH provides public boat launch access to Lee Creek and the Ohio River system. Located conveniently between Dayton and Cincinnati, this facility serves as an entry point to the Meldahl Pool, a 95-mile navigational pool created by Captain Anthony Meldahl Locks & Dam at river mile 436. The Ohio River in this area offers stable, slack-water conditions ideal for recreational boating, fishing, and longer-distance paddling.
This access point is well-suited for kayakers, canoeists, and powerboaters of varying skill levels. Paddlers can explore Lee Creek's tributaries for quieter paddling experiences or venture onto the main Ohio River pool. Please note that anglers are asked to fish from the riverbank rather than the boat launch itself to keep the ramp clear for boat loading and unloading. Avoid parking on the entry road or launch area.
