Sturgeon Lake is a 1,706-acre lake in Pine County, Minnesota, with a maximum depth of 40 feet, offering good opportunities for kayaking, canoeing, and boating. The public access site features recently improved facilities including two boat ramps, a floating dock, and 24 parking spaces (including one accessible space) for vehicles with trailers. An aquatic invasive species boat and trailer cleanout lane is available to help prevent the spread of invasive species.
The site is well-suited for small boats and paddlers of all types. The modern facilities and floating dock make launching and retrieving easier, particularly for kayaks and canoes. Note that personal watercraft (jet skis) and airboats have use restrictions on this lake. Before launching, be sure to use the invasive species cleanout lane if your boat has been used on other waters.
