The Sugar Pine Reservoir boat ramp provides paddlers and small boaters easy access to this scenic Sierra Nevada lake. Located on the southern shore, the concrete ramp and metal floating dock with handrails make launching kayaks, canoes, and small trailered boats straightforward. While there are no services or amenities directly at the launch site, the nearby Sugar Pine Staging Area offers vault toilets and a large parking lot.

Sugar Pine Reservoir is a calm, mountain lake managed by the Tahoe National Forest. Paddlers can explore the shoreline and enjoy views of the surrounding forest and hills. The reservoir can see some wind, so be prepared for breezy conditions at times. Anglers will find the lake well-stocked with rainbow trout, bass, and other species.

This is the main staging area for the Foresthill OHV Trails. The large gravel parking lot area is the best location for day users to park and for RV or toy hauler camping. There are no hookups or water. There are vault toilet restrooms and trash containers centrally located. Loading ramps are available.
