About This Access Site
Sulak Landing on the Pere Marquette River offers a convenient boat ramp and access point for kayakers, canoeists, and other small watercraft. Located near the town of Baldwin in Lake County, Michigan, this is a popular site for accessing the nationally-designated Pere Marquette National Scenic River.

The Pere Marquette is known for its excellent trout, steelhead, and salmon fishing opportunities. Upstream from Sulak Landing, the river is designated as a "quality fishing water" with a "no kill, catch and release with flies only" regulation. No motors are permitted upstream of the Indian Bridge, making this a prime destination for paddle sports. Boaters should be aware of the river's character - it is a medium-sized waterway with a gentle gradient, offering a scenic and peaceful float trip experience.

The Sulak Landing site features a paved boat ramp, picnic tables, and a small parking area. It is located near the Gleasons Landing Campground, which offers reservable campsites along the river's banks. Visitors are advised to check current conditions and regulations before planning their trip on the Pere Marquette.
