Sulphur Creek Reservoir near Altamont offers a boat ramp on the south side of this 233-acre reservoir. To access the ramp, head southeast on Highway 150 from Evanston for 10.75 miles, then turn left on County Road 173 (Piedmont Road) and continue 1.2 miles before turning left again to reach the ramp. The reservoir provides a moderate-sized water body suitable for kayaking, canoeing, and general boating.
**Important Note:** Wyoming has implemented restrictions at Sulphur Creek Reservoir due to dreissenid mussel detection. Currently, only the two south side ramps are available for boat launching and trailering, with all shore launching prohibited. Be sure to check current conditions and any equipment inspection requirements before visiting, as these protective measures may affect your access plans.
