Summit Lake's public boat ramp is located on the southwest end of the lake near Summit Lake Shore Road NW in Olympia, managed by the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW). The access area features a two-lane concrete boat ramp, approximately 50 vehicle parking spaces (15 designated for trailer parking), restrooms, and one ADA-accessible parking stall. This is a day-use only facility with no camping allowed.
**Operating Season & Access**
The ramp is open seasonally from the 4th Saturday in April through October 31st. While the site is primarily designed for motorized boats, kayakers and canoeists can hand-launch from this location. Note that there are no dedicated hand-launch facilities, so paddlers will need to access the water from the ramp area or limited shoreline. The shallow water extending well out from the launch point makes this a good option for smaller watercraft.
