Sunrise is a well-developed access point on Storm Lake in Buena Vista County, Iowa, featuring a double boat ramp located across the street from Sunrise Campground. This facility is ideal for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboaters of all types looking to launch on the lake. The site includes convenient amenities such as restroom facilities, a fish cleaning station at the north end of the campground, and the option to purchase wood and ice on-site.

Storm Lake is a popular recreational destination that accommodates all types of watercraft, from kayaks and canoes to pontoon boats and ski boats. While the lake is relatively shallow overall, there are deeper pockets on the west side worth exploring. The area supports good fishing for perch, walleye, crappie, and white bass. Sunrise Campground offers 103 camping sites (including 36 full hook-up options) on a first-come, first-served basis if you want to extend your visit, along with WiFi connectivity throughout the grounds.
