About This Access Site
**Location & Access:** Sunset Point is located on Lake Lyndon B. Johnson in Burnet County, east of Granite Shoals. From Granite Shoals, head south on the Wirtz Dam Road to reach the access point. The facility features a recently renovated boat ramp with adequate parking and is one of two main public launch points on the lake.

**Facilities & Fees:** This day-use facility offers a newly constructed boat ramp with approximately 6 parking spaces. Day-use fees are $5 per person, with an additional $3 boat ramp fee for non-guests (guests of the associated cabins and RV facilities have different arrangements). The site also has RV spaces and cabin rentals available if you're planning an extended visit.

**Important Considerations:** Paddlers and boaters should be aware of two key concerns on Lake LBJ: zebra mussels have been detected in the reservoir, and algae blooms can occur seasonally. Check current conditions with the LCRA before your trip. As a lake rather than a river, expect calm to moderate water conditions depending on wind and weather.
