About This Access Site
**Location & Access:** Sunshine Bottoms is a boat ramp located near Lynch in Boyd County, Nebraska, on the Missouri River at approximately River Mile 866. From Lynch, take Highway 12 east for 3-4 miles, then turn north on Sunshine Bottom Road and follow it to the river. This access point is maintained by Nebraska Game and Parks Commission.

**River Conditions & Paddling:** The Missouri River at this location is a major waterway with substantial flow (averaging 121,416 cubic feet/second) and moderate current velocity of 7.42 feet/second. Paddlers should be prepared for a powerful river with a 3.9 ft/mile average gradient. This section of the Missouri is suitable for experienced boaters and paddlers familiar with large river navigation. The site offers primitive camping nearby, with the nearest primitive campsite located less than a mile downstream—look for a large sign visible on the south side of the river.
