Sutcliffe 2 provides boat ramp access to Pyramid Lake, a large desert reservoir in northwestern Nevada near the town of Sutcliffe. This access point offers standard amenities including a boat ramp, picnic tables, and flush toilets, making it a convenient launch location for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats. The site is located on the eastern shore of the lake, providing access to one of Nevada's premier fishing and recreation destinations.
Before launching, note that a valid tribal permit is required for all water activities on Pyramid Lake. Permits can be purchased online at PyramidLake.us/permits or at the Ranger Station in Sutcliffe. Additionally, be aware that Popcorn Beach boat access has been closed due to invasive species concerns. For fuel, supplies, and additional services, Pyramid Lake Marina is available nearby with a fuel dock and full-service marina facilities.
