Located in the charming village of Suttons Bay on the West Arm of Grand Traverse Bay, this Michigan DNR boat access site offers a hard-surface ramp suitable for all trailerable watercraft. The ramp maintains adequate water depth of 2.5-3 feet at 20 feet from shore, making it reliable for launching kayaks, canoes, and motorboats throughout most water conditions. The facility includes ample parking and is conveniently situated near the town's amenities, including shops, restaurants, and services.
The site provides excellent access to the West Arm's calm, sheltered waters, making it ideal for paddlers of various skill levels. From here, you can explore the scenic shoreline, nearby islands, and access to the broader Grand Traverse Bay. The surrounding Suttons Bay marina area offers additional services including restrooms and trailer storage (located a few blocks from the ramp). This is a popular and well-maintained access point for both day trips and longer explorations of one of northern Michigan's premier boating destinations.
