About This Access Site
**Location & Access:** Located in Falmouth near the confluence of the Suwannee and Withlacoochee rivers, the Deese/Howard boat ramp provides convenient access to both waterways. The facility features a single-lane concrete ramp with adjacent concrete trailer parking, making it suitable for kayaks, canoes, and motorized boats.

**Amenities & Facilities:** This well-maintained ramp includes two picnic tables, a grill, and a portable restroom. The site is located within Suwannee River State Park, which also offers additional recreational opportunities including hiking trails—notably the scenic 12.5-mile Big Oak Trail (part of the Florida National Scenic Trail) and access to the Fox Trail Tract for those interested in land-based activities.

**Paddling Options:** The ramp provides excellent access for exploring both the Suwannee and Withlacoochee rivers, making it an ideal launch point for day trips and longer paddles. Paddlers should plan accordingly based on river conditions and their experience level, as the Suwannee can have varying flow rates depending on rainfall and seasonal conditions.
