Sweet Briar Lake near New Salem, North Dakota offers excellent boat launch facilities managed by the Morton County Department of Parks and Campgrounds. The access site features **two boat ramps with docks**, making it convenient for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats to launch and retrieve. The facility spans 886.2 acres and is located near I-94 Exit 134 for easy access.

Beyond the water access, this is a well-developed recreation area with amenities including six vault toilets, portable water, picnic shelters, and primitive camping sites with picnic tables. The lake supports fishing for walleye, pike, perch, bluegill, crappie, and largemouth bass, and features two floating fishing piers and six earthen piers for anglers. The surrounding area is excellent for wildlife watching with abundant birdlife, making it ideal for paddlers interested in nature observation as well as active boating.
