A courtesy dock is available adjacent to the ramp for loading and unloading gear. The surrounding grassy picnic area with tables and grills makes Swords a great spot to enjoy a day of boating, fishing, or swimming on the lake. Though the recreation area is open year-round, visitors should be aware that reservations may be required, as the site is part of the Oconee Ranger District's "Activity Pass" program.
