This primitive boat ramp provides access to Goodwin Lake within the T.M. Goodwin Unit, a 3,870-acre wetland restoration project in the upper St. Johns River basin. The ramp is located in Brevard County and is ideal for kayakers and canoeists exploring shallow marsh waters and wildlife habitat. **Important:** Vehicle access to the management area is limited to **Sundays and Thursdays only, starting at 9 a.m.**, so plan your visit accordingly.
Be prepared for rustic conditions typical of a primitive ramp—expect unpaved access roads and potential dust, especially during dry periods. The area is known for excellent wildlife viewing, particularly from January through July when hundreds of nesting Roseate Spoonbills, egrets, and herons inhabit the islands. Restroom facilities are not reliable at this location, so plan accordingly. The shallow, marsh-based waters are best suited for small boats, kayaks, and canoes rather than larger motorboats.
