About This Access Site
Tahkodah Lake is a 148-acre lake in Bayfield County with a public boat landing on the southwest shore—the only public access point on the lake. Located near Cable, Wisconsin, the launch provides entry to moderately clear waters with a maximum depth of 18 feet. The lake is suitable for kayaking, canoeing, and motorized boating, with a relatively compact size that makes it manageable for paddlers of various skill levels.

The lake supports a healthy fishery including panfish, largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, and northern pike. A day-use fee of $5 applies at the launch, or it's free with a campground reservation. The moderately developed shoreline features some cottages and resorts, but the majority of the lake remains undeveloped. This access point is part of the Two Lakes Campground facility; for more information or to make reservations, contact 715-739-6334.
