This take-out site is located at the mouth of the Monocacy River where it meets the Potomac River, near the historic Monocacy Aqueduct in Frederick County, Virginia. This is a popular exit point for paddlers completing whitewater runs on the Monocacy River or sections of the Potomac. The site provides access to a significant confluence area with views of the impressive C&O Canal infrastructure. Being a take-out rather than a launch point, this location is specifically designed for ending paddling trips in this region.
